General Information regarding the City of Vergas, Minnesota:

The City of Vergas is located in Otter Tail County.

• The city’s present population is estimated to be 363.
• The City of Vergas has a council of four councilors and one mayor. The City Clerk-Treasurer is accountable to the city council for implementing council direction. Council meetings are held the 2nd Monday of each month.
• The city staff is made up of Clerk-Treasurer-Liquor Store Manager, Utilities Supervisor, one part time maintenance employee and 5 part-time Liquor Store Clerks.
• The city maintains approximately 25,284 Linear Feet of streets and works with county and state departments to maintain county and state owned road.
